Set up VoIPtalk in Reachable
WorksVoIPtalk is a VoIP provider in the United Kingdom. This is how you add your VoIPtalk account to Reachable, so your phone rings, even with the app closed.
- You enter: VoIPtalk ID and SIP password.
- The password: the SIP password of your VoIPtalk ID, not your website login password.
- Voicemail: call 9200.
What to enter
From version 1.1 VoIPtalk is in the app's list. Pick VoIPtalk and fill this in; the app fills in the other settings itself.
VoIPtalk ID84012345Your VoIPtalk ID, a number starting with 8. You see it when you log in at voiptalk.org.
SIP password••••••••The SIP password of your VoIPtalk ID. After logging in, click your VoIPtalk ID to see it.
Where to find your details
- Log in at voiptalk.org with your e-mail address.
- Your VoIPtalk ID is in the list of accounts.
- Click it: a window opens with the SIP password, which you can also change there.
Right now: with Other SIP provider
In version 1.0 VoIPtalk is not in the list yet. Choose Other SIP provider and fill this in. The fields marked (optional) are under Advanced.
| Field in the app | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Username | exactly as in your portal, for example 84012345 |
| Password | your SIP password (see above) |
| Server or domain | voiptalk.org |
| Transport | UDP |
| Port (optional) | leave empty |
| Outbound proxy (optional) | nat.voiptalk.org:5065 |
| Separate login name (optional) | leave empty |
| Voicemail number (optional) | 9200 |
Good to know
- More devices. VoIPtalk names no maximum number of devices per account. If things go wrong while you also use the account elsewhere, give Reachable an account of its own. Reachable on two phones counts as one device: only our server signs in at VoIPtalk.
- Without the outbound proxy nat.voiptalk.org on port 5065 signing in fails. Enter it under Advanced.
- Voicemail (9200) comes only with Prepay Silver and VoIPtalk Unlimited. Calls to ordinary numbers need call credit.
- Call 908 to hear which number the other person sees. To hide your number for one call, put *141 in front of the number.
