Set up STARFACE in Reachable
WorksSTARFACE is a phone system your company runs itself. This is how you add your STARFACE account to Reachable, so your phone rings, even with the app closed.
- You enter: Phone name, password and server address.
- The password: the phone account password (Passwort), not the password you log in to STARFACE with.
What to enter
From version 1.1 STARFACE is in the app's list. Pick STARFACE and fill this in; the app fills in the other settings itself.
Phone nameShown in STARFACE as 'Telefonname', often a code including a short device tag
Password••••••••The 'Passwort' of this phone account, not your STARFACE login password
Server addressfirma.starface-cloud.comThe address of your STARFACE, for example company.starface-cloud.com
Where to find your details
- Ask your administrator for a phone account.
- In STARFACE: Admin > Telefone > + Manuell, device type 'Standard SIP'.
- It shows Telefonname, Passwort and the server address.
- For use outside the office the administrator sets NAT to 'Standard' or 'Ja'.
Right now: with Other SIP provider
In version 1.0 STARFACE is not in the list yet. Choose Other SIP provider and fill this in. The fields marked (optional) are under Advanced.
| Field in the app | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Username | exactly as in your portal |
| Password | your SIP password (see above) |
| Server or domain | the address from your portal, for example firma.starface-cloud.com |
| Transport | UDP |
| Port (optional) | leave empty |
| Outbound proxy (optional) | leave empty |
| Separate login name (optional) | leave empty |
| Voicemail number (optional) | leave empty |
Good to know
- More devices. STARFACE names no maximum number of devices per account. If things go wrong while you also use the account elsewhere, give Reachable an account of its own. Reachable on two phones counts as one device: only our server signs in at STARFACE.
- STARFACE uses SIP on port 5060 (UDP and TCP) and TLS on 5061. The sound runs over ports 10000 to 20000; those must be open at the PBX.
