Set up Yay.com in Reachable
WorksYay.com is a cloud phone system in the United Kingdom. This is how you add your Yay.com account to Reachable, so your phone rings, even with the app closed.
- You enter: SIP username and SIP password.
- The password: the user's SIP password, not your dashboard password.
- Up to 5 devices per account at a time.
- Voicemail: call 8000.
What to enter
From version 1.1 Yay.com is in the app's list. Pick Yay.com and fill this in; the app fills in the other settings itself.
Where to find your details
- Log in to your Yay.com dashboard.
- Go to Voice, Users, pick your user and open SIP User Details.
- Your SIP Username and SIP Password are there.
Right now: with Other SIP provider
In version 1.0 Yay.com is not in the list yet. Choose Other SIP provider and fill this in. The fields marked (optional) are under Advanced.
| Field in the app | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Username | exactly as in your portal |
| Password | your SIP password (see above) |
| Server or domain | talk.yay.com |
| Transport | UDP |
| Port (optional) | leave empty |
| Outbound proxy (optional) | leave empty |
| Separate login name (optional) | leave empty |
| Voicemail number (optional) | 8000 |
Encrypted calls
Yay.com can encrypt your calls. Under Advanced choose Transport TLS, port 5061 and switch on Encrypt the sound (SRTP). On iPhone a lock then shows during the call.
Good to know
- Up to 5 devices at a time. Yay.com lets up to 5 devices sign in on one account at the same time. Reachable on two phones counts as one device: only our server signs in at Yay.com.
- For encrypted calls also switch on Call Encryption for your SIP user in the dashboard. Without that setting encrypted calls fail.
- You call your voicemail on 8000 by default. You can change that number in your account.
